FUTURE EVENTS

Dr. Specht sponsored a ‘candy buy-back’ event in his office after Halloween. As many of us know, there are many drawbacks to eating excess Halloween candy besides the fact that one does not know what is in the bag.

Dr. Specht stressed that all the sugar and food coloring can be pretty scary!  Not only can it make kids hyperactive, and cause tooth decay, but it can cause headaches, allergies and make kids more susceptible to illness and obesity.

Halloween is a fun event for both the young and old, and Halloween Trick or Treating can be a ghastly great time for all. ‘Candy Buy-Back’ event definitely rewards the child who is willing to part with his or her excess candy and turns trick or treating into a profitable, as well as, fun event!

Children got $1.00 per Pound of Candy.

Invisalign Training

Invisalign is a series of clear, removable, plastic aligners that are custom-made to straighten teeth. Dr. Specht wanted to design a meeting to equip Dentists and their entire staff with information that would help them to better serve their patients.

Dr. Specht, with the help of an Invisalign produced Power Point presentation, gave a comprehensive overview of the Invisalign Process an answered any questions that the attendees had. The meeting was held at no cost to the attendees, and they were given three Continuing Education credits for attending.

Do a Good Deed Contest
2008.

Applying the ideal that “doctors heal people, but people heal the world”, Dr. Specht has implemented a Do A Good Deed Contest in order to help motivate the young people, ages 18 and under, to become active in their communities and in turn, instill in them the positive qualities, like innovativeness, self-motivation, self-esteem and a desire to help others.

The contest encourages youth to do a good deed and then write an essay detailing what they did, what motivated them to do it and what they got out of the process.

Please call Renee at (805) 347-4444 for contest dates and details.
